Mai tai

The Mai Tai is one of the many tiki cocktails invented by the famous Trader Vic. With its combination of tropical flavors, this cocktail immediately won its place among the popular Manhattans, Martinis and Daiquiris in the 1940s. When Trader Vic first served the cocktail to a Tahitian friend, he shouted, “Mai Tai-Roa Aé!” Which translates as, “fantastically good!” Hence the name Mai Tai.

We make this tropical classic with lime, orgeat, orange liqueur, dark rum and overproof rum.
